It's reassuring to know that our foremost national institutions are guarded by alert Capitol Police officers, one of whom spotted my sticker almost as quickly as I was able to photograph it. His order to remove it undoubtedly arose from concern about compromising the Yeses and Nos handed down by the highest court in the land. Democracy remains safe from the insidious peripheral Perhaps.
