Jody Zellen's "Disembodied Voices" is a tantalizingly shimmering and flickering video work projected onto four walls and the gallery floor. Its ephemeral world of light (mixed with the shadows of gallery visitors) disappears each evening when the switch is thrown and the gallery closes. The error message seen here is an especially fleeting feature of this fleeting world, popping up unexpectedly on the floor and destined to disappear when the custodian replaces the projector bulb at the end of the day. Most fleeting of all is the Logozoan that resided here for only the few minutes during which I snapped these pictures.
